Profitable sires his 26th individual winner

Jarvis gains a well-deserved victory at Dundalk

First-season sire Profitable sired his 26th individual winner when his son Jarvis landed a five-furlong contest at Dundalk on Wednesday, 1 December.

The Ger Lyons-trained colt jumped out the stalls to make all early in the race, and when nudged along by jockey Colin Keane just under two furlongs out, Jarvis soon moved well clear of the field to win easily by two and a half lengths.

Bred by Newton Stud Syndicate, the colt is out of the Stakes-placed multiple winning mare Sorry Woman, herself a half-sister to G2-placed Belle De Lune.

Profitable has also sired this year’s G2 Queen Mary Stakes heroine Quick Suzy, plus Listed winners Head Mistress and Silver Tankard Stakes winner Mr Professor.
