Night Of Thunder’s Keep Busy adds another Stakes win to her record

Four-year-old filly lands Listed Fillies’ Stakes at Ayr

Just a week after running a very creditable fifth in the G1 King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, Keep Busy (Night Of Thunder) recorded her second career Black Type win on Tuesday, 22 June with a convincing victory in the Listed Fillies’ Stakes, run over five furlongs at Ayr.

Settled in midfield under Jason Hart, Keep Busy was pushed along a furlong from home and soon took up the running, winning going away by three quarters of a length.

Keep Busy has certainly lived up to her name, with 23 career starts to her name. She won the Listed Prix Yacowlef as a juvenile and has been keeping some very smart company of late, finishing second in the G1 Flying Five at the Curragh before being beaten only two lengths when fifth in the G1 Prix de l’Abbaye towards the back end of last year.

Bred by Hackcanter Ltd and Mr P Gleeson, Keep Busy is out of the G2-winning Danetime mare Look Busy, who won this race herself back in 2008. The dam is a half-sister to G1 Prix Morny winner Unfortunately.

Night Of Thunder enjoyed a very successful few days at Royal Ascot last week, siring Kensington Palace Stakes winner Lola Showgirl, plus Buckingham Palace Stakes heroine Highfield Princess.

Night Of Thunder is also sire this year of G1 Queensland Derby winner Kukeracha, plus fellow Group winners Suesa and Thunder Kiss.
