Streets Of Rio wins well at Lyon-Parilly

Rio de la Plata sired his ninth individual winner on Thursday 13 October when his son Streets Of Rio gained a well deserved first victory at Lyon-Parilly. Kept wide early on by Maxime Guyon in the mile contest, the Henri-Alex Pantall trained colt went clear in the straight before holding off the late challenge of favourite Mask Of Time,

Bred by E Schmid, he is out of the Swiss-bred mare Snow Lady, who has now produced four winners including the Stakes scorer Silent Sunday. Snow Lady also has a yearling colt by Rio de la Plata named Some Nights.

Now the sire of nine winners, three-time G1 hero Rio de la Plata has also sired the impressive Thais, last seen contesting the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on Arc weekend, multiple winner Aiming For Rio and the highly-rated pair Alcazar and Maldonado.
