New winner for Farhh

Thunderbolt Rocks breaks his maiden at Wolverhampton

Impressive first-season sire Farhh added another new winner on Saturday, 25 November when his son Thunderbolt Rocks broke his maiden at Wolverhampton. Trained by Hugo Palmer, he came into the race off the back of a single run at Newbury, and despite being outpaced early on, he came through near the finish to win going away by three-quarters-of-a-length.

Bred by Hall Of Fame Stud and bought by connections for 57,000gns last Autumn, he is the first foal of the winning mare Coquette Noire, who also has a yearling filly by Dawn Approach.

Farhh, who will be standing this coming season at a fee of £10,000 Oct 1, SLF, has enjoyed an excellent first season as a stallion. From only nineteen runners, he has the unbeaten G3 Acomb Stakes hero Wells Farhh Go, Italian Stakes winner Fa Ul Sciur, the multiple Stakes-placed Dee Ex Bee, who won an entry into next seasons Derby by winning a valuable conditions race at Epsom, and the impressive wide-margin Newcastle scorer Elegiac.
