New Stakes winner for Raven’s Pass

Gorgeous Noora flies home to win the Hever Sprint Stakes

Raven’s Pass, one of the best value proven stallions in Ireland, sired a new Stakes winner on Saturday, 23 February when Gorgeous Noora flew home to win the Hever Sprint Stakes at Lingfield. After a slow start in the five furlong contest, she sat last until the straight before quickening down the outside to win going away by three-quarters-of-a-length.

Originally trained by Luca Cumani, she was bought by her current connections for 200,000Gns at last seasons Tattersalls December Mares sale.

Bred by Kabansk Ltd & Rathbarry Stud, Gorgeous Noora is a daughter of the Stakes-placed mare Aneedah (Invincible Spirit), a full-sister to the very speedy multiple Group-winner Muthmir.

Raven’s Pass, who sires an impressive 9% Stakes winners to runners, also has last seasons G1-winning juvenile Royal Marine, G2 sprinter Raven’s Lady and high-earning Japanese Group winner Tower Of London. He is covering this season at a fee €10,000.
