New juvenile Group winner for Exceed And Excel

Bungle inthejungle becomes the latest star youngster for the world’s leading sire of two-year-olds

Exceed And Excel made a superb start to the Glorious Goodwood meeting on 31 July when siring the first two home in the five-furlong G3 Molecomb Stakes.

Bungle inthejungle recorded his third career victory when finishing just a head in front of his paternal half-brother Morawij, with the pair almost four lengths ahead of the third-placed horse – Royal Ascot Stakes winner Hototo.

Trained by Mick Channon, Bungle inthejungle was bred by Stratford Place Stud and is out of the Wolfhound mare Licence To Thrill – dam of another of Exceed And Excel’s Stakes winners in Waveband.

Exceed And Excel is the world’s leading sire of juveniles and has recently been crowned Champion sire of two-year-olds in Australia by number of winners. This year alone, he has sired 20 Black type performers including G1 horses Excelebration and Armed For Action.
