New arrivals for Manduro and Echo Of Light

Two Darley first-season sires now have foals on the ground

A recent arrival for 2007 Horse of the Year Manduro was welcomed at the Irish National Stud on 24 January.  The chestnut colt is out of the three-time winner Twiggy’s Sister, by Flying Spur. The Listed-placed mare is also the dam of a Noverre colt, named Visterre, the winner of three races himself last season when a juvenile.

At Dalham Hall Stud, the G1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner Embassy (Cadeaux Genereux) has foaled one of the first colts by another of Darley’s first-season sires, Echo Of Light.

‘He is a sizeable, robust individual with good bone and very healthy,’ says stud manager Liam O’Rourke.

Embassy has bred three winners, including Grosvenor Square, by Echo Of Light’s sire, the late Dubai Millennium.

Manduro stands for £20,000 at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket alongside Echo Of Light at £4,000 (1 October, Special Live Foal). For further information, please call the nominations team on +44 (0)1638 730070.
