More Group glory for Fractional

Son of Manduro wins the G2 Prix Dollar at Longchamp

Fractional, a consistent and progressive son of Manduro, won his fourth Stakes race (and eighth race overall) from only 11 starts on Saturday October 4 when taking the G2 Prix Dollar at Longchamp. A progressive three-year-old when winning the G3 Prix Quincey, he did not run the following season because of a serious tendon injury, but coming back at five he has proved to be better than ever, winning his last four starts including the G3 La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte.

A Darley homebred who was running in the Godolphin colours, Fractional is out of the Stakes-winning mare Sharp Point and a half-brother to Group winner Needlecraft and Mayfield, dam of G2w Gallatin (Street Cry).

Manduro is also sire this year of G1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Ribbons, plus unbeaten Group winner Meerjungfrau. He is also sire of two further G1 winners in Mandaean and Charity Line.
