Morawij takes the Jebel Ali Sprint for the second straight year

Son of Exceed And Excel adds a fourth Black type win to his record

Exceed And Excel’s son Morawij has been incredibly consistent over the past 12 months and on 17 February, he took the Listed Jebel Ali Sprint for the second year in a row.

Soon in front under Chris Hayes, Morawij was asked to quicken three furlongs out and held off a strong challenge from regular rival Mushir to take the seven-furlong contest by a neck.

Morawij was bred in Britain by Dunchurch Lodge Stud and is out of the Group-placed mare Sister Moonshine, a half-sister to Stakes winner Mundybash and from the family of G1 winner Passing Shot.

Exceed And Excel has now sired three Stakes winners so far this year, including dual G2 winner Championship, who landed the Zabeel Mile at Meydan yesterday.

Exceed And Excel, sire of ten G1 winners to date, stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €50,000 October 1st SLF.
