Breeders who have booked a 2023 nomination to Derby hero and precocious juvenile Masar were recently entered into a prize draw to win a table for the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival and on Monday, 6 March Emma Banks was announced as the winner.

Speaking after hearing of her win, Emma Banks said, “Masar was a brilliant Derby winner but was no slouch at two!

“I'm looking forward to seeing his first runners on the racecourse later this year and am delighted to be sending a mare to him.”

Masar’s first yearlings sold for up to 350,000gns last year, averaging £109,000 during Book 1 and 2. He broke his own maiden in May (beating a G2 sprinter), going on to win the Solario Stakes. He took the Craven by no fewer than nine lengths en route to his Derby success.
