Manduro filly maintains her unbeaten record in style

Two-year-old Donna Prassede lands Listed Premio Coolmore

Manduro recorded his tenth Stakes horse of the year so far on 29 September, when his two-year-old daughter Donna Prassede successfully stepped up to Black type level and maintained her unbeaten record in the process, land the nine-and-a-half-furlong Listed Premio Coolmore by three quarters of a length.

Bred by Al Dei Lagoni Srl, she is the second winner from two foals to race out of the Singspiel mare Everarda, who was herself Group-placed. The dam is a daughter of another Stakes winner in Egesia and hails from the family of Prix l’Opera winner Hortensia.

Manduro is also sire this year of four-and-a-half lengths Italian Oaks winner Charity Line, who recently reappeared with a five-length victory to remain unbeaten in five starts.

His three-year-old colt Buckwheat (from the same crop as Charity Line) took the Listed Prix Ridgway earlier this year, while Global Bang added further Black type to his record with a second in the G2 Mehl-Mulhens-Rennen.
