Listed win for King’s Best gelding

Mighty Mouse lands Grand Prix Aufgalopp with Dubawi colt second

Cologne’s 2100m Listed contest, the Grand Prix Aufgalopp, saw two Darley-sired runners finish first and second with Mighty Mouse, by King’s Best, landing the spoils and Dubawi’s Waldpark half a length back in second.

Four-year-old Mighty Mouse was twice Listed-placed last season and was recording his first black-type win. He was bred in Germany by Stall CBD and is a son of Megaperls, by Zinaad.

Last season’s G1 Deutsches Derby winner Waldpark, owned and bred by Gestut Ravensberg, was making his seasonal debut and has won four of his seven career starts.

King's Best, the sire of 45 stakes winners, including Group One winner and fellow Darley stallion Creachadoir, stands in France at Haras du Logis for €12,000. Dubawi is based at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket and stands for £75,000. Both are on October 1, Special Live Foal terms.
