Libranno is back on top

Librettist’s consistent son wins the G3 Criterion Stakes

Libranno came back to his best form to win another Group event on Saturday June 25, the G3 Criterion Stakes at Newmarket over seven furlongs. Undefeated in his first three races as a juvenile including winning a brace of G2's, the son of the great miler Librettist started the year with a second place to Native Khan in the G3 Craven Stakes over a mile.

Owned and bred by Mr O McDowell, Libranno is out of the Singspiel mare Annabelle Ja, who has visited again Librettist this season.

Darley stallion Librettist stands at Haras du Logis in Normandy at a fee of €6,000. Also a front-runner in most of his races, Librettist won the G1 Prix du Moulin and also the G1 Prix Jacques Le Marois, defeating the 2007 European Champion older horse and fellow Darley stallion Manduro on both occasions.
