Lady Harrods records back-to back G3 victories

Dubawi filly proves too good, taking out the G3 Thousand Guineas Prelude in Australia

A winner of the G3 McNeil Stakes last start, Dubawi filly Lady Of Harrods produced a gutsy effort to get up in the last stride to achieve her second Stakes win, recording victory in the G3 Thousand Guineas Prelude over 7f at Caulfield, Australia on 22 September.

Given a perfect ride by jockey Stephen Arnold, the three-year-old filly sat in third throughout and as the field rounded the home turn Lady Of Harrods came off the back of the leader Commanding Jewel to get up in the final bound to take the race by a half-head.

Out of the seven-time-winning Strategic mare Royal Conspiracy, a half-sister to the G2 winner Fraud, Lady Of Harrods was bred by Mrs T Hamade.

The winner of three of her six starts, Lady Of Harrods is the second Stakes winner in the southern hemisphere in the space of a week after the victory of Tiger Tees in the G3 Concorde Stakes the week prior.

Later in the day, dual G1-winning Australian-bred Dubawi mare Secret Admirer produced her usual honest effort to come from back in the field to take third in the G1 George Main Stakes over the Randwick mile.

Dubawi is the sire of 45 Stakes winners internationally, highlighted by eight individual G1 winners including Darley stallion Poet's Voice, Dubai World Cup winner Monterosso, G1-winning Hong Kong sprinter Luck Or Design and Dubawi Heights, the winner of the G1 Yellow Ribbon Stakes in the USA.
