Jorda returns to top form with G3 Flemington win

Daughter of Exceed And Excel lives up to her promise

Talented Exceed And Excel filly Jorda bounced back to her best in devastating style with a brilliant victory in the G3 Kennedy Plate at Flemington on Thursday, 9 November.

Jorda emerged as one of Godolphin’s most precocious Australian juveniles of last season, winning the Listed Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick on her racecourse debut. She returned at three in the G3 San Domenico Stakes at Rosehill and showed she had lost nothing during her break, finishing third to the good colt Pariah before another excellent placed effort in the G3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes at Caulfield.

Jorda is one of three Black Type performers out of the G2-placed mare Montemelo, also dam of dual Group-placed filly Pursuits (Lonhro).

She becomes Exceed And Excel's 20th Stakes winner of the year and joins a group that includes speedy juvenile G2-winning juveniles James Garfield and Threading, plus ultra-fast Haydock G2 heroine Priceless.

He stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €50,000 Oct 1, Special Live Foal.
