Impressive juvenile G2 win for son of Dubawi

Master Of The Seas impresses at Newmarket in the Superlative Stakes

Godolphin and Dubawi have another star after Master Of The Seas impressed when winning the G2 Superlative Stakes at the July meeting. The juvenile colt came into the race on the back of a debut victory on Newmarket’s Rowley Mile course when beating Territories’ future winner William Bligh.

Held up early under jockey William Buick, when he was asked for his effort the race was soon put to bed, eventually winning by three lengths.

Master Of The Seas is the fifth Stakes horse produced by the Classic-placed Firth Of Lorne. Dubawi is the only British stallion to have reached 100 Group winners and Master Of The Seas victory took his tally 121. This season he has sired Eclipse hero Ghaiyyath, rated the best horse in the world in 2020 and Prince Of Wales’s Stakes hero Lord North.
