Lah Ti Dar (Dubawi) takes another step towards the Oaks with Pretty Polly Stakes win at HQ

Impeccably bred Dubawi filly Lah Ti Dar threw herself firmly into the picture for this year’s Oaks on Sunday, 6 May with an impressive win in the 10-furlong Listed Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket.

Settled in second position under Frankie Dettori, the John Gosden-trained filly took the lead approaching the final furlong and seeing off the challenge from Expressiy, soon moved clear and eventually won by three lengths. This was her second racecourse appearance and second win, having stormed to a six-length victory over the same distance at Newbury two weeks ago.

Lah Ti Dar is out of Singspiel’s outstanding three-time G1 winner Dar Re Mi, making her a full sister to dual Black Type winner So Mi Dar.

She becomes the second Stakes winner of the day for Dubawi, following Wuheida’s dominant display in the G2 Dahlia Stakes earlier on the same card.

Dubawi stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £250,000, Oct 1, SLF.
