Harry Angel gets 2023 off to a flying start all over the world

Al Dasim an impressive winner at Meydan; Australian yearlings sell for up to $270,000

Harry Angel enjoyed a hugely successful season in 2022 with his first crop of runners, siring 25 individual winners and 11 juveniles rated 90 or above by Timeform.

He added a first three-year-old winner to his record in impressive style on Friday, 13 January when Al Dasim landed the valuable six-furlong conditions race at Meydan.

George Boughey’s charge was settled just off the pace and once the field quickened for home, he soon took up the running and eased clear to win by three lengths and record his fourth career victory. He has an all-weather rating of 111.

Harry Angel has recently returned from his latest stint in Australia, where he was once again extremely popular with breeders. His second crop of southern hemisphere yearlings are now going through the ring and are currently averaging A$213,000 at Magic Millions, with a top price of A$270,000.

Harry Angel stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £10,000, Oct 1 SLF.
