Flight Risk doubles his Group tally

Son of Teofilo lands the G3 Ballycorus Stakes

Racing for the first time since being gelded, Teofilo’s son Flight Risk looked a much improved performer when easily winning his second G3 in the Ballycorus Stakes. Held up at the rear of the field in the seven furlong contest, he made a daring move up the rails in the straight and when the gap appeared, he quickened impressively to win very easily by two-and-a-half lengths. He was recording his first victory since he triumphed in the G3 Gladness Stakes at the Curragh.

Bred by James Hanly, Flight Risk is a half-brother to three Stakes performers including G3 winner Marionnaud and is out of the G3-placed dam Raghida.

Teofilo has now sired 19 Stakes horses this season including impressive Australian G1 winner Humidor and G2 Dante hero Permian, with his three further G1 performers including Irish 2,000 Guineas third Irishcorrespondent.
