First season sire one-two at the Curragh

Profitable’s daughter Quick Suzy defeats Doitforandrew (Ribchester) in six furlong maiden

Profitable’s juvenile daughter Quick Suzy easily broke her maiden on Monday, 3 May when making all the running over six furlongs at the Curragh. Sent straight to the front under jockey Gary Carroll, she was always travelling well and wasn’t extended to defeat Doitforandrew (Ribchester) by five-and-a-half lengths.

Bred by Oghill House Stud and Jasleen, Quick Suzy is a daughter of the winning Marju-mare Snooze, a half-sister to Stakes winner Aria di Festa, who is herself the dam of this season’s Italian Classic winner Aria Importante.

Profitable, the winner of the G1 King’s Stand Stakes over five furlongs at Royal Ascot, has now sired three winners after the winning debutants Barging Thru and Thunder Love.
