First foal for Poet’s Voice

Filly by the top-class miler arrives at Swynford Paddocks Stud

The first reported foal by QEII Stakes winner Poet's Voice arrived today, 11 January, when Strawberry Moon produced a bay filly at Swynford Paddocks Stud.

The foal was described by Michael Russell as, ‘a good-sized, above average filly – a very pleasing foal’. The mare is a half-sister to G2 winner Jewel In The Sand and is a multiple winner herself.

Poet’s Voice covered an impressive first book that included 38 Group or Listed performers and 34 dams of Stakes horses.

Other mares due to produce foals by him in the coming months are G1 winner Ever Love, G2 winners Centifolia and French Bid, plus Demerger – dam of G1 winner Sole Power; North East Bay – dam of G2 winner and G1 performer Prince Bishop; and fellow G1 producers Darwinia, Khubza, Lunda and Vituisa.

Poet’s Voice stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £12,000 October 1st special live foal.
