First European foal for Helmet arrives

Colt out of Supreme Seductress is born on 11 January

The first reported northern hemisphere foal by Helmet arrived in Ireland earlier today, when Supreme Seductress produced a dark bay colt at Skara Stud in Ireland.

The foal was described by his breeder Derek Gibbons as having very good bone and an attractive head.

His dam, who is by Montjeu, is herself a daughter of Private Seductress, making her a half-sister to G1 winner Menhoubah.

Helmet, who will stand alongside his sire Exceed and Excel at Dalham Hall Stud this season at a fee of £8,000 October 1st SLF, won both the G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes and G1 Champagne Stakes at two in his native Australia, before going on to win the G1 Caulfield Guineas in record time at three.
