Fifth stakes winner for Manduro

Fractional lands Listed Prix de Tourgeville at Deauville

Manduro colt Fractional extended his winning tally to three victories from four starts when landing the Listed Prix de Tourgeville at Deauville on Tuesday.

The only time Fractional has been defeated was when third by just a length and a half in the G2 Prix Eugene Adam on 22 July. Like former Horse of the Year Manduro himself, the three-year-old is trained in Chantilly by Andre Fabre.

Bred by Darley, Fractional is out of the speedy Royal Academy mare Sharp Point, whose Mark Of Esteem daughter Needlecraft won two Group Three races in France and Italy.

Manduro’s black-type winners are headed by the Group One winner Mandeaen and G2 Dante Stakes winner Bonfire, while Trois Lunes is another decent French-trained performer having won the G3 Prix Vanteaux in April.
