Mare in foal to Exceed And Excel makes $1,025,000 in Australia

Towards the end of the first day of selling at the 2012 Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale, the Yarraman Park (as agent)-consigned lot 198, the G2-winning, multiple G1 placed Mimi Lebrock produced and outstanding result.

In foal to Exceed And Excel, the former Bart Cummings-trained mare was knocked down for AUS$1,025,000 to Gerry Harvey’s Baramul Stud. The second top lot of the day behind Sharp Susan who was carrying a positive to fellow Darley stallion Street Cry, Mimi Lebrock was one of three mares to sell in foal to Exceed And Excel from the top ten lots.

The sire of 45 individual Stakes winners globally highlighted by G1 winners Excelebration and Margot Did in Europe and leading three-year-old Helmet in Australia, Exceed And Excel is standing the current season at Dalham Hall Stud for a fee of £22,500, SLF.
