Exceed And Excel colt wins Listed race at Jebel Ali

Spin Cycle sprints to victory in Dubai

Exceed And Excel colt Spin Cycle registered the second Stakes win of his career on Friday March 11, when landing the five-furlong Jebel Ali Sprint in Dubai.

A top class juvenile when trained by Bryan Smart, he was just beaten in a photo in the G2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. As a three-year-old he won the Listed Rous Stakes at Newmarket, beating a competitive field of top-class sprinters before continuing to perform with credit in top sprints as a four-year-old, never being beaten by more than five-lengths in an eight race campaign. Now a five-year-old and trained by Satish Seemar, he was having only his second start in Dubai.

Bred by Mrs Lisa Kelly, Spin Cycle is out of the Spinning World mare Spinamix, who has produced three Black type performers from her first three foals including the G3 winning filly San Sicharia.

Exceed And Excel's progeny have been in tremendous form already in 2011, siring six Stakes winners and ten Stakes horses in this period. He is currently the leading sire of juveniles in Australia with three individual Stakes winners and his northern hemisphere highlights include the progressive Listed-winning filly Waveband and the G3 UAE Oaks third, Electric Waves.
