Romantic Symphony, a three-year-old daughter of Dubawi, won her first Group race on Sunday, 16 August when landing the G3 Prix Minerve over 2500m. Trained in the UK by Charlie Appleby, the English raider was held up before making her move at the top of the straight, battling gamely to record a one-and-a-quarter length triumph.
Romantic Symphony has now won four of her six starts including a Listed win in the Chalice Stakes at Newmarket on her previous start.
A Godolphin homebred, Romantic Symphony is a daughter of Rumh, making her a full-sister to G1 winners Yibir and Wild Illusion. The Stakes-winning Rumh also has a yearling colt and a filly foal both by Dubawi.
Dubawi has sired 19 Black Type winners this year including future Darley Stallion Notable Speech, winner of the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury in May. He is one of 64 G1 winners headed by leading stallions Night Of Thunder, Ghaiyyath and Too Darn Hot.
