Dynamic continues purple patch for Teofilo

Four-year-old filly becomes the seventh Stakes winner for her sire since the start of August, landing the Grand Prix de Fontainebleu

Teofilo has been enjoying a superb end to the European summer and on Tuesday, 11 September he sired his seventh individual Black Type winner since 1 August when Dynamic ran out the ready winner of the Listed Grand Prix de Fontainebleu.

The William Haggas-trained filly was initially settled towards the rear of the field, but moved up to a more prominent position at the halfway stage. Asked to quicken once approaching the two-furlong marker, she picked up impressively and moved clear to win by a length and a half.

This was the fourth career victory for Dynamic, who won twice from three starts last year. She also won over a mile at Musselburgh in June of this year.

Dynamic was bred by W and R Barnett Ltd and is out of the winning Dalakhani mare White Cay, dam of another Stakes winner in Cay Dancer. White Cay is herself a half sister to G1 Coronation Stakes winner Balisada and hails from a female family packed with G1 winners, including this year’s Prince Of Wales’s Stakes and King George hero Poet’s Word (Poet’s Voice).

Teofilo's total of seven Stakes winners since the start of August can only be beaten by fellow Darley stallion Dubawi. He is also sire this year of multiple G1 winner Humidor, winner of this month’s Memsie Stakes at Caulfield, Australia. He has another 2018 G1 winner in Happy Clapper, plus G2 winner Diplomat and record-breaking Group winner Cross Counter.
