Dubawi’s Maria Amalia adds a first Black Type win to her record

Three-year-old filly lands Listed Schloss Roland-Stutenpreis at Düsseldorf; new winner for Ribchester

Dubawi recorded a new Stakes winner on Sunday, 3 October when his daughter Maria Amalia took the Listed Schloss Roland-Stutenpreis, run over seven furlongs at Düsseldorf.

The three-year-old filly, who is trained in France by Henri-Alex Pantall, was always prominent under Julien Guillochon and battling superbly down the home straight, got up close to home to win by a short head.

Maria Amalia, a Godolphin homebred, is out of the multiple Group winner Majestic Queen and is from the family from Dubawi’s smart sprinter My Oberon.

Dubawi has now sired an incredible 32 Stakes winners in 2021, headed by G1-winning duo Albahr and Lord North. No stallion in the world can better that total.

Dubawi has 18 yearlings due to go through the ring at this week’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1.

Also on Sunday, first-season sire Ribchester added a new winner to his tally when his daughter Cryptoqueen won over seven furlongs at Moulins in France.

Bred by Aston Mullins Stud, she is out of the winning Camacho mare Princess Cammie, a half-sister to Kodi Bear.
