Dubawi sires the first two home in the G2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein

Progressive Erevann defeats The Revenant; another Stakes victory for Soft Whisper

Dubawi sired the first two home in the G2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein on Saturday, 1 October when his progressive three-year-old son Erevann got the better of The Revenant by one and a half lengths, with Checkandchallenge, a son of the late Fast Company, back in third.

Erevann is very lightly raced and now has won four of his five career starts, with his only defeat coming when a narrow third in the G1 Prix Jacques Le Marois. He had previously won his first three starts including a victory in the G3 Prix Paul de Moussac.

Owned and bred by the Aga Khan, Erevann is the second foal of the three-time G1 winner Ervedya (Siyouni).

Earlier in the day at Ascot Soft Whisper, a four-year-old daughter of Dubawi, recorded her fourth Stakes victory with a one-and-a-quarter length win in the Listed October Stakes.

Dubawi has sired 38 Stakes winners this season, ten more than any other stallion in the world. Seven have won at the highest level at a variety of distances including sprinter (Naval Crown), miler (Modern Games and Coroebus), middle distance (Rebel’s Romance) and stayer (Eldar Eldarov).
