Dubawi filly wins G1 Epsom Handicap

Second top-level victory for Secret Admirer

Dubawi four-year-old Secret Admirer gained her second Group One victory when winning the $500,000 Epsom Handicap over a mile at Randwick in Sydney on Saturday, a year to the day after winning the G1 Flight Stakes at the same course.

Placed in all three of her black-type engagements so far this season, Secret Admirer stepped up in impressive fashion, overcoming a bad position early on to overpower Pinker Pinker, a daughter of Darley Australia stallion Reset, in the home straight.

Bred by Eire Bloodstock NSW, Secret Admirer is out of the Secret Savings mare Secret Illusion. She is one of six Group One winners for Dubawi, including Classic winners Makfi and Waldpark, plus Dubawi Heights, Happy Archer and Poet’s Voice.
