Maho Bay, a progressive three-year-old son of Dubawi, added a first Group win to his CV on Monday, 7 September in the G3 Winter Hill at Windsor.
Soon in front under William Buick, the Charlie Appleby-trained colt dictated the page throughout the 10-furlong contest and once asked to quicken, soon put the race to bed and crossed the line two and a half lengths in front.
Maho Bay posted an eye-catching six-length victory on his racecourse debut last December and opened his three-year-old campaign with another impressive win at Newmarket.
A Godolphin homebred, Maho Bay is out of the G1 winner La Pelosa (Dandy Man), making him a half-brother to Pinatubo’s Black Type performer Cavallo Bay.
He becomes the 40th Black Type performer in 2026 for his sire, who is also responsible for G1 winners Imperial Emperor and future Darley stallion Notable Speech this year.
