Royal Intervention lands the G2 Goldene Peitsche

Exceed And Excel’s three-year-old daughter Royal Intervention made a successful step up in class when taking the G2 Goldene over six furlongs at Baden-Baden on Sunday, 25 August. A winner of the G3 Summer Stakes at York in July, Royal Intervention made all, switching to the rail two furlongs out to win comfortably by one and a half lengths for trainer Ed Walker.

Bred by Exciting Time Partnership, Royal Intervention is a half-sister to 8 winners including G1 Beverley D Stakes victress Gorella. They are out of the Jeune Homme mare Exciting Times, a half-sister to the G2 placed Mariage d’Amour out of the French Champion Three-Year-Old filly Crepellana.

Exceed And Excel is the sire of twelve G1 winners including dual G1 hero Excelebration and G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner and fellow Darley stallion Outstrip. His Group winners this season include G3 Jebel Ali Mile victor Secret Ambition and G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Microphone.
