There was a thrilling finish in the G3 World Trophy on Saturday, 17 September, run over Newbury’s minimum trip. After a furious early pace, Profitable’s first crop son Mitbaahy got his head in front near the line to defeat Teresa Mendoza (Territories) and Manaccan (Exceed And Excel).

This was Mitbaahy’s first Group triumph having won the Listed Scurry Stakes at Sandown earlier this season. He has now won four of his 12 career starts.

Bred by N Hartery, Mitbaahy is out of the winning Invasor mare Wrood and a half-sister to US G1 winner Going Global.

Miitbaahy is Profitable’s third Group winner of 2022 after fellow three-year-old sprinter Miramar and G2-winning juvenile Wed

Later in the day Ribchester sired a new Listed winner when his juvenile daughter Championofmyheart won her first Stakes race. Going into the Premio Repubbliche Marinare on the back of two previous victories, the Awbeg Stud-bred filly narrowly prevailed in tight finish.
