Dancing Goddess lands Listed prize in France

Dubawi sires another new Stakes winner

Dubawi sired his fifth new Stakes winner this weekend when his three-year-old daughter Dancing Goddess gained her first Black Type victory on her first try when winning the Listed Prix Casimir Delamarre at ParisLongchamp, France on Sunday, 15 October.

The filly who is trained by Henri-Alex Pantall, jumped well and was soon settled in third, travelling nicely throughout the nine furlong race, she moved into second with 500m to run. Quickening up she gained the lead in the final 100m and stayed on gamely to win by a length and a half.

Dancing Goddess was recording her second win in France, and third career success, after recording an impressive six-length victory at Compiegne just over three weeks ago.

The well-bred filly, who is owned and bred by Godolphin, is the first foal out of Listed-winning mare Winter Lightning (Shamardal), herself a daughter of Eastern Joy who is the dam of dual G1 World Cup hero Thunder Snow and Group winners Ihtimal, Eastern World and First Victory, who is responsible for Coroebus (G1 2000 Guineas winner).

Dubawi’s other new Group winners this weekend include Dance Sequence (G3 Oh So Sharp Stakes), Ancient Wisdom (G3 Autumn Stakes), Arabian Crown (G3 Zetland Stakes) and Highland Avenue (G3 Darley Stakes).
