Creative Flair strikes in G3 Pride Stakes at Newmarket

Daughter of Dubawi earns third Black-Type success

Creative Flair, a four-year-old daughter of Dubawi, posted a third Black-Type success of her career with victory in the G3 Pride Stakes at Newmarket on Friday, 7 October.

Trained by Charlie Appleby, Creative Flair jumped well and soon led the thirteen-runner field up the centre of the course, where under William Buick she made all to win the ten furlong contest by a neck.

This was Creative Flair's first run in the UK since winning the Listed Abingdon Stakes at Newbury in June last year, she has since run in France, US and Dubai where she won the G2 Balanchine Stakes at Meydan in February.

Creative Flair, a Godolphin-homebred, is the second foal out of Shamardal Stakes-winning mare, Hidden Gold, herself a half-sister to Group winners Mr Moonlight Magic, Royal Line and Masterstroke.

So far this season Dubawi has sired 39 Stakes winners, seven of those have won at the highest level including St Leger hero Eldar Eldarov, Woodbine Mile and French 2,000 Guineas victor Modern Games and dual G1 winner Rebel’s Romance.
