Estrange, Night Of Thunder’s beautiful daughter, landed her first G1 on Saturday, 27 June when easily winning the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh. Run over 10 furlongs, the five-year-old was always travelling sweetly and wasn’t extended to record a one-and-a-half length victory.

Lightly raced for her age, she has a near spotless record. From nine career starts, she has six wins, five at Stakes level, with a brace of G1 seconds last year. She holds numerous G1 entries later in the year including the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Bred by Antony Stroud, Trevor Stewart and James Hanly, she is a daughter of the Oasis Dream mare Alienate, who has produced two further Stakes performers in Basalt (Pinatubo) and Lmay. Alienate also has a yearling filly by Blue Point and a filly foal by Night Of Thunder.
Night Of Thunder, Champion sire of 2025, is having another spectacular season and has now sired five top-flight winners. Three came earlier this month at Royal Ascot when future Darley stallion Ombudsman landed the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, Bow Echo remained unbeaten in the St James’s Palace and Ten Bob Tony won the Queen Anne. Five G1 winners is more than any stallion in the world this year and is completed by the US-trained filly Portfolio Duration.
