Dalshand

The blue-blooded son of New Approach is another potential star for the Aga Khan

A hour after the Aga Khan's homebred Zayva (Raven's Pass) won the female equivalent, the Aga Khan unleashed another potential top-notcher when Dalshand, a son of New Approach, won the colt's version of the three-year-old debutants race. Coming to the standside in the straight on rain-softened ground, he ran right away in the final furlong to record a five length triumph.

Bred in the purple, he is a son of the winning Doyoun mare Daltaiyma, who has already produced the Group-winning filly Daltaya, who is herself the dam of G1 Prix de l'Opera winner Dalkala. Daltaiyma is a daughter of the Listed winner Daltawa and a sibling to the Champions Daylami and Dalakhani.
