Bivouac bounces back in G2 Run To The Rose to land his fourth Stakes win

Sons of Exceed And Excel run first and third at Rosehill

Bivouac (Exceed And Excel) confirmed he had retained all the ability he displayed as a two-year-old when he put away a hot field of three-year-olds in Saturday’s G2 Run To The Rose at Rosehill.

The son of Exceed And Excel ended his juvenile campaign with a dominant victory in the G3 Kindergarten Stakes in April and resumed with a similarly emphatic win in the G3 Vain Stakes at Caulfield last month.

A heavy track dulled his brilliance in the G3 Vain Stakes, with Exceedance, also by Exceed And Excel, proving too strong. When back on good going at Rosehill, an irresistible turn of foot earned Bivouac a two-length win over Yes Yes Yes and Exceedance.

Bivouac is out of the More Than Ready mare Dazzler whose three runners to date have all been winners.

Dazzler is a daughter of Camarilla, the mother of the G1-winning mare Guelph and a member of one of Godolphin’s best Australian families.

Bivouac is one of 12 Stakes winners sired by Exceed And Excel in 2019 including the G2-winning sprinter Royal Intervention and Australian G1-winning juvenile Microphone.
