Godolphin colt Rock Montreal put himself firmly in the picture for next year’s Classics with a smart performance in the G3 Emirates Autumn Stakes at Newmarket.
Successful at Yarmouth on debut and denied by a head in the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes at Doncaster, the son of Blue Point again finished powerfully on his first start over a mile to overhaul Sergei Diaghilev close home and score by a neck.

Blue Point was enjoying a second notable success on the Rowley Mile in the space of a week, following his outstanding daughter Blue Bolt’s sixth straight win in the G1 Sun Chariot Stakes.
