A step up in class and switch to turf proved no issue for Fortitudine as the son of Dubawi posted an all-the-way success in the Listed Godolphin Stakes at Newmarket.
Lining up after a pair of novice wins at Kempton Park, including by a stunning 21 lengths on debut, the Charlie Appleby-trained runner always looked in command as he kept on stoutly to score by a length.
The Godolphin homebred is a full-brother to globetrotting superstar Rebel’s Romance, who retired this year after his 22nd career victory in the G2 Princess Of Wales’s Stakes on Newmarket’s July Course. His dam Minidress is also responsible for G1 Jebel Hatta winner Measured Time.

Fortitudine is Dubawi’s 25th individual Stakes winner of 2026 and looks certain to have his sights raised again at four, with the G2 Dubai City Of Gold at Meydan in late February among his options.
