New winner for first-season sire Naval Crown

Eighth Immortal posts frontrunning victory at Yarmouth

Naval Crown added a new winner to his record on Thursday, 17 September when his son Eighth Immortal made all to land the six-furlong Nursery at Yarmouth.

Sent straight to the front under Kieran Shoemark, the Jack Jones-trained colt was ridden along a furlong out and kept on well to hold off the challenge from previous winner Conciliate and win by a neck.

Bred by Lynn Lodge Stud, Eighth Immortal is out of the multiple winner Tara Celeb (Excelebration), herself a half-sister to dual Group winner Lady Gloria.

Naval Crown, the winner of the G1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, has already sired some very promising runners from his first crop. Sea Of Rain became his first Group winner when landing the G3 Flame Of Tara Stakes late last month, while Crown Of Ivy was impressive on his only start when winning at Doncaster. Napa struck on his second start at Newmarket in May, whilst Hell Of A Spin impressed when winning at Hamilton, and has since been placed in both the G2 Gimcrack and G3 Molecomb Stakes.
