Saddadd, a four-year-old son of Pinatubo, won his first G1 in style on Sunday, 6 September when triumphing in the Grosser Preis von Baden. Run over 2400m at Baden-Baden, he was always well placed and made his challenge at the top of the straight, battling gamely to beat Parachutiste (Dubawi) by half a length.
Lightly raced, he has now won five of his ten career starts including the G3 Gordon Richard Stakes earlier this season at Sandown Park.
It has been a banner year for his dam Talmada (Cape Cross), producing two G1 winners through Saddadd and Tattersalls Gold Cup hero Almaqam. Talmada, a half-sister to G2-winning juvenile Saamidd, also has a two-year-old filly by Dubawi and a yearling filly by Pinatubo.
Pinatubo is the sire of 17 Stakes performers in 2026 including Classic-colt Komorebi, plus Stakes winners Pivotal Attack, Dickensian, Pina Sonata and Secret Of Life.
