Juvenile filly Aloa claims G2 Premio Dormello at Milan

Cracksman sired his first Group winner on Sunday, 23 October when his improving juvenile daughter Aloa claimed the G2 Premio Dormello at Milan, Italy. The chestnut filly, who was partnered by her regular jockey Dario Vargiu, made easy work of her step up into Group company to easily land the 1600m contest by two-and-a-quarter lengths.

This was Aloa’s third straight win, she is now the winner of four races from five starts with her only defeat coming when she finished second in Listed company on her second start, since then she has claimed a 1500m conditions event before adding her first Stakes victory to her c.v. just three weeks ago.

Bred by W & R Barnett, Aloa was a 47,000gns purchase from Tattersalls Book 2 yearling sale. She is out of the Lawman mare, Amber Silk, herself an own sister to G1 heroine Just The Judge.

Cracksman, a dual European Champion, has sired twelve individual winners, including Stakes winning filly Dance In The Grass, Listed-placed Crackovia along with highly-rated winners Rich, Miss Dynamic and Ndaawi.
