Aztec Sense took command at the top of the stretch and powered to an impressive three-length victory in the $100,000 Turning For Home Stakes at Parx Racing 23 June.
Sent off as the heavy 4-5 favorite, the Street Sense gelding moved up to challenge leader Moon Gate Warrior (by Bernardini) on the far turn. The pair matched strides briefly before Aztec Sense assumed the lead at the top of the lane and cruised to an easy victory.
Bred in Kentucky by Charles Fipke, Aztec Sense is out of the Stakes-placed mare, Aztec Pearl (by A.P. Indy). Aztec Pearl is a full sister to Champion Festival Of Light, and a half-sister to Acoma (G1 Spinster Stakes) and Arch (G1 Super Derby).
Street Sense has sired over 50 career Stakes winners, including multiple G1 winners Sweet Reason and Wedding Toast, along with the outstanding Australian colt Hallowed Crown. In addition to Aztec Sense, Street Sense is the sire of 2018 Graded Stakes winners The Lieutenant (G3 All American Stakes), Avery Island (G3 Withers) and McKinzie (G3 Sham Stakes).
