Zayva lands the Listed Prix de la Cochere

Progressive daughter of Raven’s Pass gains a valuable Stakes win at Chantilly

Raven’s Pass sired a new Stakes winner on Thursday 1 September when his three-year-old daughter Zayva swooped late to land the Listed Prix de la Cochere, with Wanderina (Manduro) finishing third. Run over a mile at Chantilly, she was completing her third victory on only her fourth start.

Owned and bred by H.H. The Aga Khan, Zayva is out of the King’s Best mare Zayanida, a multiple winner in France. Zayanida has already produced four winners from four runners including Group winner Ziyarid and Shamardal’s four-time winner Zayam.

Raven’s Pass this season has also sired the G2 Hungerford Stakes hero Richard Pankhurst, star Italian colt Greg Pass, the European Free Handicap winner Ibn Malik, and a pair of three-year-old Group fillies in Rosay and Aquila Solitaria.
