Well deserved first victory for Sea Of Rain

Daughter of Naval Crown wins easily at Leopardstown

Sea Of Rain, a first-crop daughter of Naval Crown, broke her maiden in style when winning by three-and-a-half lengths at Leopardstown. After being placed on all of her first four starts, she never saw a rival when making all in the seven-furlong Maiden.

Owned, trained and bred by Jim Bolger, Sea Of Rain is a daughter of the winning Teofilo mare Neophilia.

Naval Crown, the winner of the G1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, has already sired some very promising runners from his first crop. Crown Of Ivy was impressive on his only start when winning at Doncaster, Napa struck on his second start at Newmarket in May, whilst Hell Of A Spin impressed when winning at Hamilton, and he holds a G3 entry at Goodwood next week.
