Valuable Stakes win for Gouache

Daughter of Shamardal lands the Listed Hoppegartener Stutenpreis in Germany

Shamardal sired a new Stakes winner on Sunday 14 August when his four-year-old daughter Gouache landed her biggest contest to date in the Listed Hoppegartener Stutenpreis in Germany. Run over 1800m at Hoppegarten, she was never far off the pace and showing great tenacity in the straight, ran on very well to gain a valuable Black type victory.

Bred by Stall Ullmann, she is a half-sister to G2W Guardini and out of the Stakes-winning Dynaformer mare Guantana.

Shamardal is fast approaching the 100 Stakes winner mark with Gouache becoming his 99th. This season alone he has sired 17 Stakes winners including top-flight scorers Dariyan and Tryster, leading fillies Usherette and Speedy Boarding and Australian G2-winner Bow Creek.
