Two winners in two days for Refuse To Bend

Favourite Girl makes the most of favourite's chance at Carlisle to become her sire's third individual winner

The Irish-bred Favourite Girl has put together an impressive string of runs and, with three placed efforts to her name already, got off the mark in style with a hard fought win at Carlisle.

Bred by Limestone and Tara Studs, the Refuse To Bend filly is the second foal of multiple-winning Scandinavian campaigner Zuccini Winds (Revoque).  Favourite Girl was runner-up ten days ago when stepping up to six furlongs (1200m) but came back to the minimum distance (1000m) for her win today.

Her success adds to a great 24 hours for her young sire, with another of his daughters from his first European crop, Super Nancy, winning in Italy on Sunday.
