Elusive Quality's Quality Road rated one of the world’s best

The World Thoroughbred Rankings were released on January 11 with Elusive Quality's Quality Road at the top of the list of the world’s best milers. Weighted at 128 pounds, he shares top honors with Dubawi's three-year-old son Makfi. Dubawi stands at Darley’s stallion farm in Newmarket, England.

Quality Road won three G1 events in 2010 – the Woodward, the Metropolitan Mile and the Donn Handicap – before retiring with a record of eight wins, three seconds and one third from 13 career starts.

In addition to Quality Road, Elusive Quality – himself a record-setter – has sired no fewer than 11 others who have broken track records, including Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass which stands at Darley’s Kildangan farm in Co. Kildare, Ireland.

Elusive Quality was North America’s leading sire of 2010 by stakes wins with 17 of his progeny winning a phenomenal 28 stakes races.
