First-season sire Space Blues continues to fire in the winners and on Monday, 8 December his son Tommy Space built on his earlier promise of two second places with a very convincing win over 10 furlongs at Siracusa, Italy.
Settled just behind the early pace, Tommy Space was always travelling well and once asked to quicken, put the race to bed in a matter of strides, easing clear to win by almost four lengths.
Tommy Space was bred by China Horse Club and becomes the sixth winner from six foals to race out of Glorification, already dam of a Black Type performer in Huboor.a
Space Blues has now sired 23 individual winners, including G1 Phoenix Stakes hero Power Blue, plus Listed winner and Group-placed Drago Blue. His 7.8% Group horses to runners puts him at the top of the list of all stallions standing in Ireland for under €40,000.
